A Mannerly Article Sunday

My compliments to the Reporter and to Ashley Cisneros for the excellent article on etiquette in Sunday’s paper.

I was gratified to learn that social graces are making a comeback in today’s world. My younger son attended a well-known military academy. The cadets had classes in etiquette and were then given opportunities to use their skills in social situations. I am so proud not to be seen with my Sam, who always rises when a lady enters the room, holds doors and chairs for ladies and the elderly, and in general, demonstrates savoir faire seldom seen in many 25-years olds.
