A survey by UF’s Bureau of Economic and Business Research this week found that Florida consumers became more pessimistic in August. The preliminary consumer confidence index for Florida decreased to 95 – a one-point drop from last month and a drastic fall from 112 last August, according to the Florida Consumer Attitude Survey.
